hi, a quick update :D, had de Junk's strapped on de dyno machine.
reason? to see the different between the old setup with the new current coil on plug (sequential) setup. altho i had good impression during on the road driving, curiosity makes me really want to see the result on a dyno machine. as expected, the tork figure is now better from what i had previously. as for graph, due to certain reason, i'm unable to post it up (biase la, nanti ade mamat usha, tak best la, the time will come, after all, it's just a 4G13, won't shout anything impressive at all or scared u out)

as for now, there is no news bout my CDI unit which is directly from AEM, and i'm a bit frustrated for the long waiting. till then, let's hope it will arrive here. :(

Coil On Plug - Done!~

the moment of waiting has end :D, and now my junk's is running fully sequential ignition with coil on plug (taken from waja 1.8 renault - Nippon Denso). totally forgot to snap photos during installation which requires a lot of work from the engine bay till to the tuning part. previously, i'm running a wasted spark mode, with a coil pack taken from a 4G93. i must say, the engine behaved differently whereby its a lot smoother, and revving it up is wayyyyy nice. :D

supposedly i'm going to get it dyno, but my AEM cdi is still no where to be seen yet (email has been sent to them, they claimed that they r rectifying few issues b4 they can ship it out to me..duh..all this while a lot of complaints of their unit malfunction (burn) after few months running it and only now the action being taken? i mean..this year 2009?)

i made a quick search over the net and found myself a pair of used rim. looks like a steel oem rim (jz like those wira/kenari etc lol)its actually a aluminium type with unknown brand. sum said its a bridgestone..huh? not sure tho, do inform me any info bout it k?. its a 14 inch with offset of 38 & 6jj and yet, its light-weight. altho lack of that "bling-ness" which could impress peoples surrounding, that is not the point. being low profile with a light weight rim, it surely gonna hv its own advantage. :D few recommended that i should be upgrading to 15 inch roller, a top notch brand cost thousand, and with the abundant of replica rims in the market which r almost identical to the real 1, ( come on, i saw Viva with ***** RG gold color rim) i dun feel any special of buying the original rim (for now la).

moving on to the next item, got myself a pair of Toyo Proxes R888 semi slick...185/60/14.
bought it in Melaka during balik kampung season for Hari Raya :P
kinda cheap compare to Klang Valley...with a crap price tag..eventho its only a 14 inch laaaa..!!!!...come on la..no wonder la those with money oni can play with it, whereby its actually affordable ..certain people jer make it looks like "hey dude.. u no money ..u dun play car...u go play barbie.."...again..business maa... :P nvm bout it...

Coil On Plug - Lets Do It !

After doing sum homework (ya la, reading those articles chaa), I'm eagerly to try out the sequential firing along with coil on plug setup. As my AEM Twin Fire CDI should be arriving after Hari Raya, the installation could be performed and testing it out to see the outcome b4 throwing in de AEM CDI... hoping a big improvement @ high rpm.

I've appointed Amad, (located in Bukit Lanchong) to custom the COP mounting. It took 2 weeks (haiyo..banyak kerja - a lil' bit delay) to be done and below is how it looks like. Made out from an aluminum, I've polished it for a great finishing. chewaaahhh :P


Moving on to the engine bay, this is how it will look like once its fitted into the cylinder head. As for the rocker cover, it will be replaced with a new color...dun wori, no more red..lolx, later, the extractor will be wrapped with thermal cloth , and even the cop will be wrapped with aluminum cloth too. :D its to ensure that the cop is being protected from the heat. Cair plak kang..ish3x.

after doing sum reading, meet few peoples, having discussion bout their experience, sum r lucky, and sum (maybe add a quater part lagi kot?) r not that lucky with the china bosch coil. while i'm doing sum calculation and thinking, no warranty, price r like..ermm..not that cheap..and what happen if its misfire? ahh...ur mechanic salah, u didn't wired it up proper, u r not well educated enuff..off u go with broken heart and, $$..goodbye la..

few emails to bosch stated that bosch coil r mostly made in china now. even tho they do provide info of primary and secondary resistance, but they unable to provide me the turns ratio ,max voltage and its inductance of bosch coil. they said it can't be reveal coz only for technical engineer reference..wohooo..while others coil manufacturer do stated all the info. way to go :P (don't worry, i do save the email just in case)

after going through alot of discussion, dwell time plays a major role in standalone whenever u r fitting a type of coil. each coil manufacturer has different setup and knowing it is vital when putting input in the standalone. could this be the causes of misfire? hehehehe.. so i'm not going with the bosch coil, since i need to order it if i ever need a replacement (australian made), such a hassle man. and EXPENSIVE too..duh!

as for now, i got myself a Coil On Plug (c.o.p.), Nippon Denso, which delivered up to 40000v. wasted spark setup will be removed and i'll be running a full sequential firing (4 channel) with Megasquirt-2 (running full sequential injector firing). while, i've seen those who r running Haltech, still doing a wasted spark mode, oh man! i know, Haltech 4 channel ignition module cost AUD250..opss..! try adding it up with individual coil? way of pricey. thats why, most r running wasted spark. ya la, customer does not know about it, as long its a standalone, they'll satisfied.. kesian..

ok next, CDI, capacitive discharge ignition, i've been reading on it for while and it seems few brand have a problem of their own. is not cheap. DEFINITELY not cheap wei :P. M&W pro14 4 channel CDI cost almost USD1000. MSD? no need to mention it. haha, as in my current plan, i'll be getting AEM Twin Fire CDI unit if my COP setup going smooth. its the cheapest available, but bare in mind, its 1 of the not-problem-free unit too. hmmm..Dynatek is 1 of the top list for 4g63, with its plug n play type, most people do like their unit. but only capable of 2 channel (wasted spark).


those who r in 4g63 arena, DSM, EVO, sure know bout Proccolinos Pizza EVO which gained 1006whp. they had just installed a sequential setup (4 channel) M&W Pro-14. last time they did run on wasted spark, n by changing the ignition setup, the gained is huge. Even Buschur evo do run on sequential.

ok, as now, i'm running on wasted spark mode, biase la, people said not cun la, cannot go faster, ur spark is weak, u should running sequential la.. if u rev 9000rpm sure will misfire la..which is..not cheap...talk is cheap..hahaha..lolx..any standalone could run this thing, and its not that special that u can't run 1 of these. wayang mau kuat bro..

there r lots of brand outside there dat r offering hi-performance coil (Crane cam, MSD, ProCOMP) to suit our needs. but then, why Bosch? hehehehehehehe.. to those who dah biasa, they know. HEC 715/HEC716 (only the socket is different - 50k-60k volt - claimed)


the Dwell time? i've sourced out the official data which can be used with Megasquirt. but, to source out this thing? is not easy, try seach via Ebay, NO!, local australia website.. NO! sorry, sum do selling it, but THE PAYMENT? its damn hard and tedious..why can't they use PAYPAL????? dope!..seems its hard to buy unless...?

currently there r Made In China HEC715/HEC716 coil does available, which is totally different design, but..ermm..i'll email to bosch Australia to confirm on this matter. (hey i've been doing lots of email since last month..asking this n that,lol). no idea on its performance, but there will be diff since its running on sequential mode. if kaya simply can buy and if u r not satisfy can just throw it away. duh..


in the mean time, i've email ProComp regarding their coil which share the same type with bosch, but still, they haven't provide me its dwell time.
i'm in the midst getting this coil, but then, i need to continue reading on it, not cheap la, > RM1000, MSD for sure sound better rite? nvm..lets keep on reading on this thing,.

after being hearing, looking at some issues, i do a bit depressed how peoples perception on MS. cheap? how do u define cheap?..cheap until u want it to be free?.. few questions which being delivered to me is rather annoying. its jz dat i dun hv a demo car to show and jz sitting quietly while looking at other peoples with their powerful machine leaving MS, as nothing..hmm..interesting perception..huhuhu..

aluminium radiator for Saga - done!


after the long waiting..
my very own custom aluminum radiator for de my Junk's is done.
although the measurement is same as for honda eg/ek, but the inlet n outlet, plus sensor bung is according to my saga size requirement.

installation probably not dat straight forward, few last adjustment is required to get it proper mount. hmm..

the reason i'm having this "not fully saga spec size" is, the boss,the taukey la..didnt want to go all the hassle welding the proper mount for saga, reason? complicated and no sales for saga..arghh!..i've mentioned dat i'm willingly to pay for the extra cost, but still he refused. i oso tried to convince him dat i will find others potential buyer that might be interested, thus lower the price indirectly but failed. he said previously got a guy saying the same thing. but the never show up till this day.

so, i 'm kinda frustrated a bit..i do hv a story behind all this nonsense,selected material being used la, selling it at RM1XXX..boring..but let me keep it to my self.

the thing is, de big aluminium radiator for Putra/Wira/Satria/EVO, cost RM480-RM500++, the current market price now. and this bugger selling a SMALL,HALF size..Saga/Iswara...for RM1X00...congrats!~ keep up the good work..better sell it RM2000 lor..baru masyuk bro..

still remember dat bling2x candy blue 4g93p engine which gained 134.9whp?
after involved in a bad crash...car is back on the road..but the feel is not same as previously..

as being informed, the owner, once again, requested to get his 4g93P motor back to live again.
i threw out few suggestions, such as..JUN cam for 4g93NA, or maybe Matspeed cam..standalone..
and the list went on and on and on..hahahaha..but 1 thing i forgot dat...he dun like it.. a car without jerking, a low idle, no prob with air cond..smooth..is what he wants. JUN or others performance cam will yield out higher horsepower, but then, daily use?..suffer la. alwiz tink bout others people perception and not by our own selfish recomendation.

so, i've decided to spiced it up with Mivec head, few others parts,
hmmm..still thinking wether to get a head job..hmm..or should i stay stock? hehehe..
i wonder if this Mivec thingy, together with proper tuning, will gained near to 160whp with stock internal?

yah i noe, i've seen a 200whp 4g93 non mivec, a nearly 200whp mivec..but try to calculate the $$ being spent...for sure all lari la..hahaha..sure 1 will talk cock "better play evo la.." "better buy house la"..dis n dat..guys..pls..this is what we called as own satisfaction..if u dun like it..WALK AWAY..go play with ur own balls..
